King Tut's Tomb

We are still studying the Egyptians. We are ready to move on honestly but it is really very interesting. This week we learned about King Tut and how the Egyptians started to bury the Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings so their treasures would not be found by thieves. WE pretended to be archaeologists and drew a map to the tomb then when we found it we had to record (draw pictures ) of what we found. Here you can see we found some ancient statues and GOLD (okay, colored gold) in King Tut's tomb (okay, our laundry room. HAHAHA) This was a really fun lesson. Next week Olivia and I are going on a mommy/daughter date to see the mummy exhibit at Discovery place. I think I am more excited then she is. I can't WAIT!
