Guest at our table boxes

This week at church the girls helped hand out boxes called "Guest at our table boxes" It's a Unitarian Universalist tradition. You can read more about it here:

The girls are excited to get started putting change in our box at each meal. The girls are also going to be in the church play this year. How exciting! They are doing Polar Express! LOL! So sweet. Here are the boxes.

Egyptian bracelets

We were back learning about the Egyptians this week. We made Egyptian bracelets. HA! In Science we learned about photosynthesis and went to a nature walk at the park to study the leaves. (I forgot my camera) We had a park date, Olivia had her last acting class and Brooke is working hard on her letters. She is practicing her name, It is SO CUTE! She can also count to 30 and up to 10 in Spanish! Olivia has been teaching her. Brooke is also still loving gymnastics.

Acting class!

Olivia had so.much.fun in her acting class this semester. They are done with this session but she will start again in January. The kids acted out a little play and she came up an introduced herself and took a bow. LOL! It was really sweet. She got a certificate too and was very proud of herself. She can't wait to continue. What a great class!

Ancient Africa!!

This was a favorite last week. We had a lot of fun learning about Ancient Africa then we made African Musical intruments and danced around the living room to African music. (the CD I posted a pic is AWESOME) Then today in church we had some visitor that came back from Kenya and were selling the most beautiful jewelry, pictures, bowls and tons more. The girls picked out little beaded bracelettes that look like lizards. A-dorable. We looked through books and one of the girls told us all about her adventures there. It was quite exciting! Last week we also had co-op at the library and did a scaveenget hunt. It was a very fun week!

The girls had a great time raking leaves last weekend with daddy. They had even more fun jumping in them!!

FAAN walk for Food Allergies!!!

This is our third year doing the FAAN walk for food allergies. I volunteered this year taking pictures and Russell and the girls had a great time playing games and going on the bouncy house. We love supporting this cause and Olivia loves that she gets to meet lots of other kids with allergies. We love you Olivia and we always have your back kiddo!

Ancient China!

We learned about Ancient China and how they used pictures for writing. The girls history project was to draw some words using pictures. They did dog, sister and house!

Brooke's Halloween preschool performance!

Oh how cute this was!! The kids were simply adorable singing their little songs and doing their dances. Brooke was so proud of herself! After they got to have cookies and cider. Brooke was so happy her sister got to join. :)

Halloween Party!!

We had a great time with our co-op during our Halloween Party!!! We bobbed for apples, decorated cookies, had caramel and chocolate frosted apples and a Halloween scavenger hunt. It was so.much.fun!!!!! The kids wore their costumes too. What a great start to our Halloween!

The girls wanted to show off their amazing work. LOL! Oh and I just love when Olivia just grabs a book and lays on the floor reading. I love the free time she has to do what she wants to do. She is just doing so good it makes me cry happy tears!

Library tour

A few weeks ago we got to go on a tour of the library with our favorite librarian, Miss Sherri! It was so great. The kids got to go in the back room and the librarians and volunteers took them through the whole process of what happens when book are returned and put back on the shelf. It was AWESOME!!! I love that my kids get to go out and experience the community so hands on. WE have lots more community field trips planned!

We went on a nature walk around the neighborhood to find some different leaves and observe them. they girls really loved this. Olivia took it very seriously. LOL!!

Field trip with daddy!

Brooke had a field trip with her preschool and Russell took her. They had a blast! They went to Patterson Farms and picked pumpkins. AGAIN! We had many pumpkins this year. LOL!
